The
National Association of Professional Asian
American Women (NAPAW) is a nonprofit/nonpolitical
organization established in August of 1987. It is organized
and operated exclusively for educational and training purposes.
NAPAW is not a membership organization, but is
affiliated with individuals, groups or/and organizations.
There are no membership fees, however, NAPAW accepts donations
and contributions which are tax deductible.
Our
goals are to:
(1)
Promote the social status of Asian American professional
women by providing better educational and training opportunities;
(2) Enhance leadership skills, development, and occupational
and business opportunities;
(3) Strengthen the visibility of Asian American women
in public decision-making positions;
(4) Encourage Asian American professional women to
actively pursue public issues; and
(5) Stimulate and implement research, study, and demonstration
project which will enhance the knowledge and understanding
of Asian American women.
Our
motto is:
We, as Asian American women,
will make major contributions to society,
through our total commitment to advancing NAPAW's goals and compassion towards others.
To
achieve our goals and to live by the motto that we have set,
it is of critical importance that we bind our minds, our talents
and all of our resources. In doing so, we will move
forward into the creation of a new era for the Asian American
women.
The
National Association of Professional Asian American Women
